I call Colorado home and have lived here on and off for the past 20 years. I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in kinesiology with a minor in psychology from Indiana University in 2003. After graduating, I moved to Victoria, British Columbia Canada where I completed a Master’s of Science in neurophysiology; where I fostered my interest in clinical research.
Following graduation, I spent two months backpacking solo around western Europe. Upon my return to Colorado, I worked as a senior professional research assistant, coordinating and conducting multiple clinical trials in the physical therapy program at the University of Colorado. Working with patients each day is what inspired me to change careers. I received my Master’s of Physician Assistant Studies from the Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant program at the University of Colorado in 2015. During my training, I worked in multiple subspecialties with a primary focus on primary care.
I began my career working in Internal Medicine and was very excited to join a great team of clinicians, staff, and patients at Coal Creek Family Medicine in March 2016. I am dedicated to continual learning and am a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Colorado Association of Physician Assistants. As a primary care physician assistant, I look forward to making a difference in my patients’ health, providing a continuity of care, and expanding my knowledge base.
I am a lover of the outdoors and enjoy hiking, swimming, biking, and traveling. I’m an avid Bronco’s fan and enjoy attending games regularly. I enjoy spending time with my husband, family, and border collie, Kona.
